Background: Guidelines from ATA and the Endocrine society suggest the use of fetal thyroid monitoring in maternal Graves’ disease to detect fetal thyrotoxicosis or hypothyroidism in response to maternal thyroid receptor antibodies (TRAb) or thionamide therapy respectively.
